Friday, August 15th, composer, singer and pianist Marc Hoffman begins a mini-tour at Summer Night Out, hosted by Downtown Salisbury Inc., in Downtown Salisbury from 6-9pm.
He will be performing with his trio including drummer Brian Sullivan and bassist Terry Peoples. They will play original jazz composed by Hoffman and other pop selections and jazz covers.
Saturday, August 16th, Marc Hoffman will be playing at the Ashe County Arts Annual “Tickling the Ivories” concert. This is his 7th year playing at this annual event and he says “It’s always a blast. Thanks to Jane Lonon, the Director of Ashe County Arts, for including me again this year!” Hoffman always performs original pieces at the concert and three years ago began writing three new compositions each year specifically for the “Tickling the Ivories” event. Ms. Lonon says,“This annual event showcases a variety of musicians with multiple styles and varied repertoire. Marc adds in quality, professionalism, and sensitivity at the keyboard. His original compositions are crowd pleasers!”
Sunday, August 17th, the last day of Marc’s August mini-tour, will feature the artist playing once again with bassist Terry Peoples, this time at the Childress Vineyards’ “Music in the Vineyards” series. Marc has played this event for several years. This musical mashup is a perfect way to end his summer tour!
